Holz. They just gave me the case, I don't know german?? How the hell was I supposed to make a german site. I had 2 years of german in school, but they didn't really teach me what "rental bicycle" or the likes were called in Deutsche >_< ...How did I make it then? Obviously, an online translator Of course I knew that the grammar would suck harder than an overclocked vacuum cleaner, but noone around here can speak german, so I didn't really have any choice. What we offer here are free webpages, we make our money on the server space. I make the content for the web pages, and I can't spend half a year learning fluent german, nor would we bother sending the job on to some translators, we don't get that kind of money for a web page! If they want a german translation on their site, they can do it themself!!! (Why they didn't is beyond my reach)
I'm not some german illiterate. If I really bothered learning it, I could do it in a year or so, but I see no reason to learn your language. I rarely go to germany you know . As long as you keep making beer, cars and music I'm fine with Germany and the language. I can understand most sentences, because I know Danish (duh) and English, so a lot of the words are transparent, but I'll be damned if I can freestyle sentences on the fly
I know a lot of people have laughed at that site, which is fine with me, since I couldn't have done it any better. I thought it was quite fun to read myself (I could easily see the complete lousiness on my own ), it was funny in an all-your-base kind of way. I just think people should take their time out to see if they could translate a german site into danish, and see how well that fares. There are other languages than german, and just because someone can't speak it fluently doesn't mean he's stupid. A lot of germans can't even speak other languages than that. So as the old saying goes, don't throw unhandled exceptions if you yourself is an object. (Or the other, boring, version: Don't throw rocks if you live in a glass house.)
Ps. They fixed it now, apparently someone tipped them off
Also I hear we got some kind of award for that site, lousiest german translation? Could someone link me?

Hi Martin,
Seems we owe you an apology or rather a clarification:
"Your" site was introduced in: This thread, meant chiefly to mock silly Germans. They translate foreign texts into their mother language and don't notice how wacky the results are.
"Your" site belongs into: translation poll online, a thread dedicated to the hilariousness of machine translations. It was clear that this stuff is produced when some webmaster is forced to put texts from cheap customers through translation software in a hurry, but thank you for some interesting detail.
So Der Korrektor just slipped when he linked to the site in this thread (and strangely, he of all people did not bother to correct it). A general sense of mocking you may have noticed here was aimed at Experten and Strategen in German TV dubbing and the likes, not at overworked and underpaid (I fear so) webmasters abroad.
If you're interested, the German on the site is still not quite correct, but seems to have been written now by someone who was rather good at school in it. There are minor grammar slips, but the only remaining amusing mistake is a "separate handicapped toilet", maybe unable to flush.
Sorry, I at least couldn't find a translation award for your site. If there is one, someone here will probably stumble across it sooner or later.
Regards,
Affaldet. Den femte indslag.
